Soustons Plage

We had been in this area last year when we camped at the Aire at Moliets-et-Maa. This was supposed to be the better location but I think the jury is out on that one.

The Aires are very similar, sandy parking under trees with electric on a first there first plug in basis! We were only there for the night so it was not important, however if you were to stay the 72hrs (or longer by negotiation) you may well have needed the hook up.

There are cafes and small eateries by the lake, which is the main attraction, but for us it was not a patch on Moliets. The Aire gods must have heard our comments as we were witness to a massive thunderstorm with sheet and bolt lightning through the night, so with that and the car driver who tried to ram raid the bins!!? the night was eventful to say the least. Well despite the rain we set off refreshed with croissants and coffee, Spain was on the agenda where would we end up given we had a plan but most of ours go out of the window very quickly!
